Race-Built.
Ocean-
Proven.
Born on the inflatable race circuits of South Africa. Bred for offshore endurance. HMR builds the boats, trains the pilots, and pushes the limits of what a rubber hull can do at speed.
Built From
Competitive DNA
Henning Marine Racing didn't start in a boardroom. It started on the water. The passion that drives HMR comes from years of competing in South Africa's inflatable boat racing scene, where the only judge is the clock and the only feedback is the hull's behavior under race conditions.
Every spec decision, every material choice, every component selection traces directly back to what works when the stakes are real. No lab testing. Race testing.
The Pilots &
Founders
Two countries. One mission. Devon-Blake and Roen are more than business partners. They're lifelong racers, friends who found their edge on the water, and the driving force behind every HMR hull that leaves the workshop.
Henning
Devon-Blake bridges both worlds, splitting his time between South Africa and the U.S. He brings the technical expertise, guiding clients on boat setups, performance, and what's best for their needs. He handles a lot of the client interactions, sharing the in-depth knowledge of boats and engines. Roen and Devon-Blake, no matter the time zone, stay hands on and always available to ensure clients get the best experience.
Marinelli
Roen Marinelli is an active U.S. Marine and a vital part of our team, permanently based in the U.S. He's our eyes and ears on the ground, handling marketing and guiding us on how to resonate with the American market. From strategy to record-keeping, he ensures our brand presence and operations align with what our clients need. Even when deployed, he remains deeply involved, ensuring our marketing and business never miss a beat.
Proven on
the Water.
HMR boats have been crossing finish lines for over a decade. From club-level circuit racing to the national offshore championships and the brutal Trans Agulhas Challenge, our hulls have earned their reputation on the water. Not in a brochure.
The HMR Enduro was engineered specifically for the Trans Agulhas Challenge, raced along one of the world's most unforgiving coastlines.
The Atomic was shaped by years of flat-water circuit competition, where lap times and pilot feedback drive every design iteration.
South Africa's inflatable racing scene is fierce and unforgiving. It's the environment that produced HMR, and continues to prove our boats race after race.
HMR has been featured in high-profile race coverage including the Red Bull Reel, testament to the speed, spectacle and credibility of the HMR race program.
Two Boats.
